Company History

Croc Enterprises LLC, formerly known as Waterblasting, LLC was founded in 1988 by its current President and CEO, James P. Crocker. It began as a small pressure cleaning company named Pressure Cleaning Services Inc., primarily servicing the residential community. After becoming a thriving and successful residential and commercial painting company in South Florida, in 1995, Mr. Crocker became fascinated with the speed at which high pressure water could do a wide variety of tasks.

In 1997, Crocker discovered Ultra High-Pressure waterjets operating at 40,000 psi and purchased his first UHP machine. Soon Crocker was cobbling together various pieces and using his home-made devices to remove road markings with UHP water. His original innovative road marking removal machine, eventually named the Stripe Hog, is now active in over 56 countries worldwide and responsible for removing rubber from many of the world’s largest airport runways and removing road markings without damaging the underlying surface.

Crocker eventually came to lead a team of 10-12 Engineers and developed the Rumble Hog, Surface Hog, Grinder/Groover Hog and many other pavement marking solutions. The Hog facility sits on 14 acres of general industrial land in Stuart FL and comprises some 120,000 sq ft of manufacturing space. All metal fabrications and finishing are completed on site as well as an extensive machine shop that manufactures the vast majority of custom-made components within the Hog machines.

The company employs over 200 people. More than 25 patents as well as the manufacturing assets related to Hog were purchased on February 12 of 2025 by Federal Signal Corp (NYSE FSS). Crocker has since renamed the remaining parts of the company Croc Enterprises LLC. The company is still based in Stuart, FL and consists of 4 engineers and around 60 total Team members. One of its divisions is Croc Crash Solutions which manufactures Crash Trucks and offers traffic safety related items.

Crocker is now focused on developing Croc Crash Solutions and using his extensive manufacturing and leadership experience to build another great organization.
